So Judas is really the hero?
Why does it seem that around every Christian religious day (Easter, Christmas, etc.) that the news reports are full of ‘new discoveries’ that ‘prove’ that the historical record of the Bible is not true? According to a just released article run by Fox News , an ‘ancient’ text considered to be the ‘gospel of Judas’ tells us that Jesus actually asked Judas to betray Him so thatJesus would become a hero, or progress to a higher level of spirituality. Sadly, they ignore the corroborating accounts in the present accepted gospels which explain that Judas immediately went out after betraying Christ and killed himself. Kinda hard to write your own gospel (which contradicts the other 4) when you’re dead! But as usual, the facts don’t seem to deter those whose agenda is to denigrate and dismiss the Biblical account. But don’t be alarmed…I’m sure this is just the beginning of the increasing annual onslaught of ‘anti-Christian’ propaganda which will be trumpeted out by the religious naysayers. There will be plenty more entertaining speculation and ‘incredible discoveries’ to come. Stay tuned! The Davinci Code is right around the corner!
If you really want to be informed, take a moment to read the truth. Try the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 26 verse 14- through chapter 27 verse 10. See what Judas has to say for himself.
